These Terms of Use govern the use of the mobile game "Too Much Slime" (the "App") provided by Julien Saam, Alter Kirner Weg 9, 55608 Bergen, Germany ("we", "us"). Please read them before playing. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you habitually reside remain unaffected by these Terms.
These Terms apply to the App as distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The terms of the respective store operator (Apple Inc. or Google LLC and their affiliates) apply in addition to the download and to purchases made through the store. In case of conflict regarding the download and payment process, the store terms prevail.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and us only, that Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the App, that Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App, and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to install and use the App on devices that you own or control, for private, non-commercial entertainment purposes and in accordance with these Terms and the applicable store rules.
You may not copy (beyond what is technically necessary for use), modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease or lend the App, remove copyright or trademark notices, or extract game assets. Reverse engineering, decompilation or disassembly is permitted only to the extent mandatory law allows (in particular §§ 69d, 69e of the German Copyright Act, UrhG).
All rights in the App, including graphics, sounds, characters, names and code, remain with us or our licensors. Third-party open-source components are listed under Settings → Licences and are subject to their own licence terms.
You may play the App as a guest at any age permitted by the respective app store. Creating an account requires that you are at least 16 years old or that a parent or guardian has consented to your use of the account. Minors need the consent of a parent or guardian for in-app purchases unless the law allows otherwise (for example § 110 BGB, the “pocket money” rule); the app stores provide parental controls for this purpose.
An account is optional. Without an account your progress is stored only on your device and is lost if you uninstall the App or delete its data; we cannot restore it.
If you create an account, you must provide truthful information, keep your credentials secure and use only one account per person. You are responsible for activity under your account unless the activity is due to a security failure on our side. Notify us immediately at the e-mail address below if you suspect unauthorised use.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the App under Settings → Delete account. Deleted accounts cannot be restored.
The App contains virtual currencies (for example diamonds and gold) and virtual items (upgrades, skins, characters). They are earned through gameplay and, in the case of diamonds, optionally by watching rewarded ads or by buying diamond packs (section 6). Virtual currency and items are licensed to you for use within the App only; they have no monetary value, are not redeemable for money, cannot be transferred to other players or accounts and cannot be traded outside the App.
We may adjust the game balance (for example the effect, price or availability of upgrades) for a valid reason, such as fixing bugs, keeping the game fair or adding content. We do not make changes that would deprive you of paid content without offering a suitable replacement, and mandatory rights under §§ 327 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB) for digital products remain unaffected.
The App offers optional purchases: the Founder Pack, Ad-free and diamond packs. The price is shown in the shop in your local currency before you buy; the purchase itself is concluded through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms and payment methods, and you receive a receipt from the store.
The Founder Pack and Ad-free are one-time purchases. Both remove banner advertising; rewarded videos you choose to watch stay available. Ad-free does nothing else. The Founder Pack also unlocks the Champion Knight skin, the Founder card frame and a founder number that is shown on your player card to other players (for example “FOUNDER #0042”); the frame and the number need a game account and are added once you are signed in. Founder numbers are handed out once, in purchase order, and are never reused; earlier buyers of the former supporter package received the lowest numbers. Both are non-consumable purchases and can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account via Shop → Restore purchases. They are tied to your store account, not to your game account; your founder number stays with the game account it was first given to, is kept when you delete your game data and is removed when you delete your account.
Diamond packs add the stated number of diamonds (virtual currency, section 5) to your game account and can only be bought while signed in. The starter pack can be bought once per game account. Purchased diamonds are available on every device signed in to the same game account; if you delete your game data, diamond packs you have bought are credited once more to your new game data. Everything diamonds can buy can also be earned by playing.
Statutory withdrawal and refund rights are handled by the store operator in accordance with applicable law and the store's refund policy. Your statutory warranty rights for digital products (§§ 327 et seq. BGB) remain unaffected. If the purchased content does not work, contact us first at the e-mail address below so we can fix it.
The free version of the App is financed by advertising from Google AdMob. Rewarded video ads are optional: you decide whether to watch one in exchange for in-game currency, and rewards are subject to ad availability and the daily limit shown with each offer. Rewards can be withheld if an ad is skipped or if we detect manipulation.
When you first start the App on a phone or tablet, it asks for your year of birth. If you could be younger than 16, the App only requests non-personalised ads and tells Google that you are under the age of consent. The answer stays on your device.
Details on the data processing involved and on how to change your ad privacy choices are set out in the Privacy Policy.
When using the App you must not:
If you violate these rules we may, depending on the severity, reset your display name, remove leaderboard entries, restrict features or, after prior warning in cases that are not severe, terminate your account. You may contest such measures by e-mail.
Leaderboards, daily runs, Endless boards and leagues show your display name to all players; player cards, town visits and guilds show it to other signed-in players. Players with an account choose a display name when they first sign in on a device; the App can suggest a random one (for example “GooeyKnight482”). Do not use your real name or other personal data. Names are checked automatically against a list of blocked words when you save them and when a score is submitted; a blocked name is not published. This check only blocks a name, it never decides on your account.
You can report another player's name if you believe it is illegal or breaks these rules: in the App by tapping the name on a leaderboard (account required), or by e-mail to toomuchslimestudios@gmail.com stating the name, where you saw it and why it should be removed (Art. 16 of the EU Digital Services Act, DSA). Please only report in good faith; we may stop processing reports from someone who repeatedly sends obviously unfounded reports after warning them.
A person reviews every report carefully, objectively and without undue delay; we do not decide reports automatically. If a name is illegal or breaks these rules, we replace it with a random name on all boards and block it: for everyone if it is insulting, hateful or sexual, otherwise only for the player concerned. We tell the reporting player the outcome by e-mail and send the player concerned a statement of reasons (Art. 17 DSA).
You can contest a decision by replying to our e-mail within six months; a person who was not involved in the first decision will review it again where possible. You may also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body (Art. 21 DSA) or the courts. Reports are deleted six months after they were made.
We provide the App with reasonable care but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of online features (cloud saves, leaderboards, daily runs, ads). Maintenance, updates or circumstances beyond our control may temporarily limit them. Offline features remain usable.
We may update the App to fix errors, keep it compatible with new operating system versions, maintain security or improve it. Installing updates may be required to keep using online features. We will only change the App beyond what is necessary to maintain conformity for a valid reason and will inform you clearly of material changes in the App or by e-mail. If a change significantly impairs your access to or use of paid content, you may terminate the contract free of charge within 30 days of the notice, as provided by § 327r BGB.
We may discontinue online features or the App as a whole with at least three months' notice, or without notice where we are legally required to do so or where continued operation is unreasonable for us.
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) and where we have assumed a guarantee.
In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment is a prerequisite for the proper performance of the contract and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely), and in that case only for the foreseeable damage that is typical for this kind of contract.
Any further liability is excluded. This also applies to the personal liability of our legal representatives and agents. Where the App or a feature is provided free of charge, statutory rules on gifts and gratuitous services apply in addition.
These Terms apply for as long as you use the App. You may end them at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the App. We may terminate the contract with you for good cause, in particular in the event of a serious or repeated breach of section 8, or with reasonable notice as described in section 9. Paid content remains usable as long as the App is available, unless the termination is based on your serious breach.
We may amend these Terms for valid reasons, for example to reflect changes in the law, in the store rules or in the App's features. We will notify you of amendments in the App or by e-mail at least six weeks before they take effect. Amendments that would materially change the balance of the contract to your disadvantage require your express agreement; for other amendments we will explain the change and your right to object. If you object, you may continue to use the App under the previous Terms until the affected feature is discontinued, or terminate as described in section 11.
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act, VSBG).
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in another country, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that country remain applicable. The statutory places of jurisdiction apply.
Should individual provisions of these Terms be invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
